So can post vitals gain weight? Yeah, they can. I was trying to imply it without getting side-tracked by more pseudoscientific particulars...but since you asked, I'm more than willing to answer :D
They don't store excess calories at as high a volume as a vital person does, but they still do store them. With the massive difference in how much energy their body actually needs (among other other problems I went into more detail about) weight problems wouldn't be particularly uncommon.
Where Javier is concerned, let's just say his late-night walks aren't only from restlessness... I just kept flashing back to the episode "Almost Famous" where Javier was doing his little work-out in the break-room and couldn't help but think about how much it would bother him. I imagine he's a little paranoid about it, I just haven't found a way to work it in...
