You absolutely can, but I don't think I actually put anything in Adam's backstory this chapter that didn't come from canon. The Auschwitz part, but that's it. The rest is all from the comics. "The Ten Brides of Takezo Kensei" was always one of my favorites. "Bloodlines", on the other hand, is a painful example of how poor the quality is on some of the comics (just omg, the half-assed digital painting looks like something pulled off of deviantArt), but it did reveal that Adam was at Coyote Sands. It was also the initial inspiration for his presence at Auschwitz, because I couldn't think of any better reason for him to be there...

And Lillith sounds awesome. I've got my own explanation for the mysterious "guiding force" that brings specials together (because how could anyone resist playing with that?). My version is somewhat similar, but a lot less linear.
