Yeah, the killer was stealing the valuables off the victims. This fic really kind of skims over a lot of how werewolves in the series actually work, since it's just a retread of things already covered in Evidence to the Contrary. A lot of angst in that one, but the other two fics in the series (so far) are mostly fluff.
