It's strange how some things evolve to a point where it's hard to be certain where they came from. I don't know how this quote came to have so many different attributions, and clearly even Mr. Nicoll finds that interesting. Before this year I certainly had not known its origin, though I'd never really gone looking for it. It was fun to learn the true origin, though. Conventions are always good for something, even if only adding to my trove of useless knowledge. (If only I could find a way to earn a living from having a head full of useless knowledge...)
