So sweet! I see that the next chapter is titled ‘Epilogue’ and so we are drawing to a close (and, of course, your author note). This is such a lovely chapter in a lovely story. So engrossing, so emotional. I’m really engaged with these characters from a show I hardly ever watched. The emotional arc is very authentic. I could see them going from here into … well, I hesitate to say a deeper relationship, because it’s already at its depth, but maybe the relationship transforming and opening into something more communicative where they’re meeting each other’s needs more consciously. And perhaps more intimately, but that’s secondary to the story you’ve woven.

I loved the little bit from Rene! He would be immune to that memory-altering power. Might be worth Kevin’s while to look him up eventually. My imagination now flits around trying to fill in the gaps between the future glimpse and the now. I think it’s better unwritten – one of those things left for an exercise by the reader – as the real drama of the story has been told. I like it. I love it.
