Writing Priority List...

These stories are a priority:

Zeitgeist, Volume Two: Rosemary
(aka the "Black Edelweiss" sequel)
Because: There is still a long way to go in the Zeitgeist 'verse, and I need to keep making progress on it if I don't want to lose momentum.
Previously, completion of this story was held up due to not having enough planned to fill in the case!fic portions of the story. While I have since come up with a case to fill in the blanks, unfortunately it involves quite a bit of "homework" before real progress takes place, as this story delves even deeper into obscure Heroes comics canon than the one before it. Comics which, for the most part, I haven't actually read. (Just..why, brain?)
The Robber Bridegroom
(aka the "Of Mice and Men" sequel)
Because: This story is pretty much plotted out, and would be simple to finish up if I could just buckle down and do it. Once completed, the third story in the series should follow neatly afterward. Should, unfortunately, has a tendency to fall through on me...
Grimm Reflections
(Castle x Grimm crossover, sequel to "Until Lambs Become Lions")
Because: I mostly have this one plotted out. I've also done some really nice graphics to go with it. I'm really looking forward to finishing this one.
A Reason to Live
(a Walking Dead AU fic)
Because: I've been sitting on this one for...two, maybe three seasons now? The character it focuses on is no longer among the living, or even the living dead. I don't know if anyone will care at this point, but I really enjoy the premise behind it, so I'd like to finish it anyway.
I Am Sworn
Because: This story gets priority status mainly because it is being co-written by my bff Z. It is a fusion fic between Castle and Skyrim, and will feature an OC of his, of whom I am very fond. This was the starting point for Vasa Jijri, which I have already finished. It also promises at least two sequels (if not several more). So progress here would be a good thing.
Unfortunately, it's unlikely to see a lot of action until my dad's Xbox is repaired or replaced. I still need to do some...research.

These stores are not a priority (but still like to nag me now and then):

Concept of Mind—My [livejournal.com profile] almosthumanbang idea. A mind-screwy crossover with Heroes, set in the Zeitgeist continuity. Priority subject to change.
If Shadows Offend—an apocalyptic Castle AU.
In Cold Blood—a Castle vampire fic. Because there is no excuse for this not to exist.
Zeitgeist: Five Years Gone—AU for Zeitgeist set in the "bad future" timeline from season-one of Heroes.
Bulletproof—a Castle superhero AU that I started writing for [livejournal.com profile] roachstar ages ago and still haven't finished.
Circumstantial Evidence—The proper sequel for "Evidence to the Contrary" that has been sitting unfinished for, like, ever.
Untitled John/Dorian fic—A light bit of Almost Human slash. I would have put it in the next category, but something about it tells me it isn't actually going to be as short as it currently suggests...
Kehrseite—A (non-crossover) Grimm fic focusing on Hank. I honestly wish I could make this a priority, but it just doesn't have the seniority or sequel priority that the other stories do.
Blickt der Abgrund Aucha Pacific Rim fic. All mind-screw and body horror.
Tekeli-li—a Pacific Rim crossover with the Lovecraft Mythos. Ironically more crack than mind-screw or body horror.

These fics are short enough I might be able to justify working on them:

Mirage—a Gargoyles ficlet, loosely set in the same 'verse as "The Scottish Play".
Childish Things—a Castle xGargoyles ficlet, also loosely set in the same 'verse as "The Scottish Play".
Synthetic Soul—the Almost Human daemon!fic that fandom doesn't yet know it wants.
Also, the Life 'verse still has about twenty or so unfinished ficlets sitting around waiting to see completion. If one of these bites me, well... You know. Zombies.

These fics should probably never be written, but...

Castles in the Clouds
A Castle x Gargoyles crossover. Like the above mentioned Gargoyles stories, it is also loosely set in the same 'verse as "The Scottish Play", but takes the crossover farther...probably in directions that no story should.
(And yet, I probably won't be able to help myself.)
Ubi Sunt
Fourth in the Genus series after "Duo In Carne Una". There's honestly nothing wrong with this one that wasn't wrong with every other fic in that series. But then...well, if you've read any of the fics in that series, you'll probably understand why it's on this list.
The Stainless Steel Grimm
The Grimm x Almost Human crossover that no one actually needs, but my brain thinks is a good idea, nonetheless.
Aberration
The world in no way needs more A/B/O fic than it already has. It certainly doesn't need it for Castle. Especially not with added polyamory and mpreg. Yup.

Yay!

The only things I have working right now is trying to finish Broken (it's around 40k words because I'm going to cut out an unnecessary chapter), and a sequel to Seeing Stars I half-wrote three years ago and stumbled across a couple weeks ago. Since then, it has been gnawing at me to finish it. I've outlined how to do it, so it's just a case of getting precious writing time.

Hi. *waves*

I'm unforgivably bad at leaving comments, but I've been trying to work on that lately and I just wanted to let you know how excited I am by several items on this list. I'm incredibly interested in the prospect of another fic in the Genus series. I love transformation fic, and some level of body horror, and this series just presses all the right buttons for me. I'd love to see if Kevin is going to change more, and if anything about this situation starts to become noticeable to Kate and Castle. A sequel to Evidence to the Contrary and a Castle vampire fic also appeal to me for similar reasons. (The actual show stopped interesting me seasons ago, but you write the characters mostly - barring the au elements, of course - they way they used to be. And Kevin is my favorite character, so I love that he's a central player in most of your fic.)

I am also rather interested in seeing what you'd do with Pacific Rim fic. You've prompted and seconded multiple kink meme things that are relevant to my interests, so I think I'd likely like whatever you were to write.

I also stopped with season four, though I made it through to the end. I knew I was getting into a 'oh gosh, will they or won't they' romantic subplot from the first season, but with by the middle (?) of season three, the romance had taken over and was coming from all quarters, and the quirky comedy elements I had loved were gone. I didn't like that they felt a need to create conflict between the core charters every other episode, and I couldn't stand the way the character of Captain Gates was treated just for doing her job. In short, I like your nostalgia very much.

I just wish my mind weren't all over the place with the ideas I have. Well, I know this is random, but I've done beta work/plot bunny bouncing before, so I'd be happy to offer myself up as a sounding board, if that's something that might help you. I know nearly all the fandoms you're thinking about working with, though I was never huge into Heroes. I must admit, though, that I'm not a zombie fan. They're an unsettling element for me, so I have an avoidance policy. (Sorry if this is presumptuous.)

I was in sort of a downswing of fandom activity when Castle first started, so I can't say I was ever really into the fandom. But I really fell in love with Kevin and Javi as supporting characters, and happy read fic about them. Then, as the show progressed, I starting wondering more and more what they were getting up to as the Castle/Kate thing go more in-your-face. They seemed to have a really sweet, meaningful friendship, and I couldn't deal with the show sacrificing that to make sure that everyone had a hookup. (Because life just isn't complete as long as you're single, right?)

I haven't had the occasion to use IMing in, OMG, years, but I could resurrect/make an account if need be. I also have AO3 and tumblr accounts with this username. I basically always hope online at some point during the day to check in to fandom things and relax, but I haven't really a set time for doing so.

I'm on the east coast, and on normal days I'll be online at some point between 9 pm and midnight my time, occasionally - typically weekends - during the day. And I just created an AIM account under this username as well. :)

I'll try to remember to sign on and make myself available when I'm good to talk, but you can contact me elsewhere if it seems like I haven't been on in a while, because I really have fallen out of the habit of IMing.
