Ah, yeah... Heatstroke and I are old buddies. XD
How do you come up with those ideas, really? Just...life. Looking at the little everyday things, and thinking about how they'd be different if, etc.
I used to do a lot of RP on this BTVS-themed game online. The most fun I ever had was in playing non-human characters, not for the crazy powers but because of those little details. Just little things about them that were necessarily different. I had a rock demon with a furnace inside him that used to light his cigars by sticking them in his eye. There was a half-faerie rookie cop who had difficulty balancing on bar stools after he grew a pair of swan's wings...and once he learned how to control their appearance often bitched about the impact it had on his wardrobe, because he couldn't keep a t-shirt on to save his life. One of my favorites, though, was a gruff, Jayne-esque redneck zombie with a heart of gold despite his unfortunate hunger, and a secret affection for jigsaw puzzles to distract him during long nights plagued by waking dreams.
A lot of Javier's drama is revisiting the fun I had playing that character.
