Notes: What happens when I stay up past 6 am trying to squeeze the last few days of progress out of my NaNo? Why, I get ambushed out of nowhere by a ficlet for a series I haven't managed to complete anything for in more than two years.

"Will you at least stop smiling like a goddamned idiot?" )

Title:Possession
Series: Life
Fandoms:Castle
Rating: NC-17
Genre: Romance, Angst, PWP.
Warnings: Explicit sexual content, religious intolerance, unbetad.
Details: Slash, AU, genre!crack, zombies, bigotry, religion, doublethink, blasphemy, personal identity, introspection, smut, orgasm control, fingering, oral sex, oral fixation, rough sex, rimming.
Characters/Pairings: Javier Esposito/Kevin Ryan.
Wordcount: 1,709
Summary: Patience is a virtue, but it can also be a vice...
Notes: This one was pretty much just waiting for Solo Duet to be finished to give it the necessary push. It takes place a significant time later, probably several months, but it doesn't make as much sense without that other fic.
Again, while I am myself an Agnostic (with Discordian leanings) I have nothing against respectful persons of faith, whatever their beliefs, and no offense is meant by the references to religion herein.

Javier felt his physical limitations gave him more than enough license to get creative. )

Title: Solo Duet
Series: Life
Fandoms:Castle
Rating: NC-17
Genre: Romance, Humor, PWP, Angst.
Warnings: Explicit sexual content, unbetad.
Details: Slash, AU, genre!crack, zombies, awkwardness, naughtiness, teasing, sexual dysfunction, masturbation, exhibitionism, dirty talk.
Characters/Pairings: Javier Esposito/Kevin Ryan
Wordcount: 1,241
Summary: Life isn't always perfect, but it often doesn't have to be.
Notes: Just a little early-relationship snippet from the Life 'verse (maybe a few days to a week after the end of Quality of Life) that's been sitting around unfinished for ages. I believe it was initially inspired by MMOM atleast two years ago, but never finished until now.

And Kevin knew he was babbling, but seeing Javier looking uncertain like that did all kind of namelessly unhappy things to him. )

Title: Duo In Carne Una
Series: Genus
Fandoms: Castle
Rating: NC-17
Genre: Horror, Science Fiction, Romance, Angst.
Warnings: Squick, panic attacks/PTSD, and we'll say dub-con for various abstract reasons.
Details: Slash, AU, genre!crack, angst, body horror, xenophilia, starfish aliens, tentacles, kink, unbetad.
Characters/Pairings:Castle―Javier Esposito/Kevin Ryan, Kevin/Jenny.
Wordcount: 9,079
Summary: Months after the revelations which challenged everything he knew about his partner—and in the face of his looming wedding—Kevin makes his choice. (Sequel to "Sui Generis".)
Notes: More weirdness from me. I'll pretend that you're surprised. This one is a lot more romantic than the first, but there's also a lot of...other stuff. Think Jerry McGuire meets National Geographic meets "At the Mountains of Madness" (or "You had me at 'shoggoth'.").
This is where I start pointing at the order in which the listed genres appear...but, I'm also incapable of writing a tragedy, and on the off chance I ever did I would definitely label it as such.
(Which is, I guess, my way of reassuring you all that no one is about to die or get eaten.)

Just thinking about what he had to do was gutting him. Still, it felt...right to him, just the same. )

Title: Eadem Mutata Resurgo
Series: Genus
Fandoms:Castle
Rating: R
Genre: Horror, Angst, Science-fiction.
Warnings: Off-screen character death, gore, present tense (if that needs a warning).
Details: Gen, AU, genre!crack, angst, body horror, starfish aliens, unbetad.
Characters/Pairings: Javier Esposito.
Wordcount: 1,390
Summary: Most stories have a beginning and an end. Sometimes it's impossible to tell the difference. (Prequel to "Sui Generis".)
Notes:This isn't the sequel I've been working on. That story contains significantly more porn. But this scene sort of hit me over the head tonight (while I was working on something completely unrelated, to be honest), and wound up finishing itself quite nicely.

He doesn't know which should worry him more, the memory of pain, or the lack of it. )

Title: Ghoulies and Ghosties
Fandoms: Castle
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance, Horror, Angst, Fluff.
Details: Slash, genre!crack, horror elements, folklore, scary stories.
Wordcount: 1,840
Characters/Pairings: Javier Esposito/Kevin Ryan.
Summary: It's past midnight on their first Halloween together, and Kevin and Javier are finally ready to talk about it. Sort of.
(Sequel to "Trick or Treat")
Notes: Written for the [livejournal.com profile] spook_me challenge (a bit late, but not bad compared to my usual definition of "late"). Since I'd written several supernatural and horror fics in the past, I asked to be given a creature prompt instead of choosing one myself. The creature I was assigned was "bogeyman", which immediately had my mind leap back to this 'verse. So instead of an actual new story, you get a coda/sequel instead.
Also, I have to acknowledge that the scene was partially inspired by [livejournal.com profile] apodiopsys's story "Call It What You Want".

This year, they had each needed the silence—the normalcy—of a quiet night in. )

Title: Impressed, Impression, Imprinted
Series: Life
Fandoms: Castle
Rating: NC-17
Genre: Romance, Angst, Humor, Smut.
Warnings: Light for biting/marking, blood-drinking, come eating (there's a warning I never thought I'd use) and omg smut.
Details: Slash, AU, genre!crack, zombies, PWP, hand jobs, infodump (a.k.a. "pornus interruptus"), biting, marking, possessive behavior, cheesiness, unbetad.
Characters/Pairings: Javier Esposito/Kevin Ryan.
Wordcount: 2,521
Summary: In which Kevin shares a bit of history (and is an irredeemable tease, but we all knew this), and Javier gains the upper-hand (as it were).
Details: Inspired by a comment by [livejournal.com profile] hyuuganeji11. Immediately follows "You Bet Your Life".

"So, eleven," Javier finally managed. "That's...impressive." )

(Fic) Trier of Fact

Title: Trier of Fact
Series: Evidence
Fandoms: Castle
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Angst, Horror, Supernatural
Warning: Minor, brief contemplation of suicide.
Details: Genre!crack, werewolves, case!fic(ish), angst for no reason, unbetad. Oh, and bathrooms...yes, that's right, again. Where else does the angst live if not in bathrooms?
Characters/Pairings: Kevin Ryan/Jenny O'Malley, pre-Kevin Ryan/Javier Esposito, Kate Beckett.
Wordcount: 2,664
Summary: A look at Kevin's experiences leading up to the events of "Evidence to the Contrary".
Notes: A while back, [livejournal.com profile] adja999 made a comment about a detail in Evidence, and it occurred to me that while I made reference to the case that started it all, I pretty much glossed over the details entirely. I hadn't initially planned to write this out, but the question begged, and then something else occurred to me. Something that I needed to explore...

Needless to say, the case would not go down as one of his favorites. )

Here is the essay I've been whining about. I've re-posted it from my "professional blog". Otherwise known as: "That place I can display my work, where it can live free of association from my usual depravity."

It's much more readable in the other account's style, so I highly suggest reading it there instead.

Details: Gen. AU, Sylar being creepy, general dubiousness.

Characters/Pairings: Sylar, Monty Petrelli.
Summary: Possession is nine-tenths of the law. This can be applied to fatherhood as easily as anything else.

Notes: Written for[livejournal.com profile] terror_scifi's Multifandom Prompt Fest. Title shamelessly ripped from Simon & Garfunkle.

Title: Substitution
Series: Life
Fandoms: Castle
Rating: NC-17
Genre: Angst, Romance, PWP, Horror
Warnings: Explicit sexual content, biting/marking, bruises, references to bigotry, unbetad.
Details: Slash, AU, genre!crack, zombies, naughtiness, oral sex, boys in bathrooms, slight instances of infodumpage encroaching on porn.
Characters/Pairings: Javier Esposito/Kevin Ryan
Wordcount: 2,857
Summary: Kevin's POV from "Sublimation", both the events leading up to it, and what followed.
Notes: Because my subconscious is apparently so enamored of bathrooms it saw fit to revisit a fic I'd already written, only longer, dirtier and from Kevin's point of view. The actual hotness of this is very, very subjective. Not all parts of it are meant to be, because it's more important to me that it be honest to the realities of Javier's condition. Which...probably means I fail at PWP forever, but oh well. What little plot this has provides a better look at why Javier blew his lid in interrogation and how he, er—
(You know what, I'm not even going to go there. I'm pretty sure I'm already going to hell for this anyway...)

Kevin hadn't thought, laying eyes on their crime scene, that today would be one of the lucky ones. )

Figured I might as well finish this while I was in a graphicing mood. Wish I had enough fic for this 'verse to justify making a series post for it, but still...

(used: city, wolf!Javi, wolf!Kevin.)

black_sluggard: (ryan and esposito)
I have three multichapter fics in progress at the moment, and several unfinished entries for the Life verse. I have two works in progress that I have yet to dangle in front of anybody. I have notes for multiple sequels for almost every fic I've written so far. Yet, for some reason, my brain decided to spit out not just another Roach idea, but one which has (apparently) grabbed my brain to the extent that it required a banner be made of it.

Yes, that's right. I spent several hours today on a banner for a fic I may never even write.

(used: bonfire, shadow)

If I ever do write this, it'll be the first fic I've done with legit Caskett and Kevin/Jenny in it. Though the chief pairing in this one...

Well, let's just say it's still a Roach fic at heart. In an odd, my-love-triangles-use-non-Euclidean-geometry sort of way.

(also, apologies to [livejournal.com profile] ifshadowsoffend, but the quote is really too perfect for the story)

(Fic) The Wild Hunt

black_sluggard: (Dean)

Title: The Wild Hunt
Fandoms: Supernatural
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Angst, Horror, Fantasy, Supernatural
Warnings: Horror themes, references to violence.
Wordcount: 2,797
Characters/Pairings: Dean Winchester, John Winchester.
Summary: There are nights when even the bravest should beware to travel, and creatures that hunt on the other side of darkness. Preseries, Dean centric. Oneshot.
Details: This is one of my older fics from FF.net. It's been a long time since I've written for Supernatural. This was probably written circa season 2-ish (almost four years old now), so it's a little dated (a few details have since been Jossed), but I still feel has aged well. It's one of the few stories from my first era of fic writing (i.e. SN-obsessed, and before the discovery of Crimson's Supernatural fic "Incubus", which opened the door to slash for me) of which I am consistently still proud of.

And at the head a dark figure loomed, a massive shadow that dwarfed all lesser shadows in his wake. )
