I accomplished practically nothing this week in terms of actual writing. Which sucks in general, and double-sucks so far as it concerns my participation in almosthumanbang. Not ready to give up quite yet (there's still more than a few months to go), but I find my enthusiasm with the story waning, and that concerns me.

Summary: When Javier Esposito went missing and the body of an unidentified woman was found in his apartment, Detective Kevin Ryan refused to believe the worst of his partner. Now, with the case threatening to go cold, he has embarked on his own investigation, determined to uncover the truth.
Notes: Early season 4 for Castle, and AU for season 6 of Supernatural, so spoilers up to there. Part of the "Quis Custodiet" AU crossover 'verse. Takes place a couple months after "'Aloha' Doesn't Mean 'Goodbye'" (SupernaturalxHawaii Five-0), but stands alone. In fact, I think this story is much better if read first.

Summary: There are nights when even the bravest should beware to travel, and creatures that hunt on the other side of darkness. Preseries, Dean centric. Oneshot.
Details: This is one of my older fics from FF.net. It's been a long time since I've written for Supernatural. This was probably written circa season 2-ish (almost four years old now), so it's a little dated (a few details have since been Jossed), but I still feel has aged well. It's one of the few stories from my first era of fic writing (i.e. SN-obsessed, and before the discovery of Crimson's Supernatural fic "Incubus", which opened the door to slash for me) of which I am consistently still proud of.

Title: 'Aloha' Isn't Really 'Goodbye'
Fandom: Hawaii Five-0, Supernatural.
Genre: Angst, supernatural, pre-slash.
Rating: PG-13
Details: Pre-slash, genre!crack, AU, blasphemy, mild language.
Characters/Pairings: Hawaii Five-0—Pre-Danny Williams/Steve McGarrett, Grace Williams. Supernatural—Castiel, Sam and Dean Winchester.
Wordcount:
Summary: There was always the threat that Five-0 would be torn apart if the threat of war recalled one of their number to active service. Unfortunately, Steve's military obligations were the least of there concerns.
Notes: AU for both series. That statement is a no-brainer as far as Five-0 is concerned, but this fic also disregards season 6 of Supernatural. I haven't seen many episodes of Hawaii Five-0, and they weren't all in order, so I have no idea where in season one this would fit. Obviously pre-finale, but considering the plot, it probably doesn't matter in the long run.
This story is part of the "Quis Custodiet" multi-crossover 'verse, but stands alone. While it is the first story chronologically, I suggest reading "Fools Rush In" first if you are a Castle fan, because several elements revealed in this story are detrimental to the suspense of the second, but either can be read first.
