There's also the possibility that Claude just really isn't all that stable. Which also kind of fits...
Claude and Konrad have an interesting history, which I kind of alluded to in the interview. There's an interlude or two planned that go into it in more detail, but I'm kind of wary of doing what I've done before and stringing a half-dozen interludes together when people really just want the plot. So I'll probably won't wind up getting to those until a lot later.
