If you don't know much about RPGs, d20 Modern is basically the exact same game as D&D, rules-wise, just with a few minor tweaks to make it better suited to modern settings. The similar minor tweaks can be made to use Modern for futuristic and post-apocalypitc settings as well. This basically means that you can take just about any D&D character, and with only a small amount of work, change it to be used in a Modern Apocalyptic or Future campaign. You know, for a noob? You'd just confuse them even more. Now I'm just wondering if you did it on purpose or not... :P
So, I was going through my rulebooks yesterday, looking for creatures that would fit the setting, and as I was rolling through one of them I ran across something...well. Have you ever read, or seen, or heard something (from a movie or a book or whatever) and then completely forgotten about it, only to find it years later and realize that you'd unconsciously copied an idea from that source? YES! So much yes. From kids book I used to have read to me. (They spawned from fairy tale creatures, to bad guys inspired by evil grandmas to plot points) To real life. To movies or books. To anecdotes. My weirdest experience. I was in student housing, and one evening I fell asleep early and dreamt before I woke up around midnight. My friends were asleep, but I didn't wnat to forget my dream so I typed it all up. The next day, I realized that I must have heard my roomates talk when I was asleep and somehow turned what they were talking about into a dream. Because I'd written their story, more or less, with the weird 'in a dream it seems perfectly normal' twists sleep can bring.
Oh, speaking of MUD. Remember you told me you'd let me know if that BuffyMUD was created. The user created project? Yeah. I'm just reminding you in case that slipped your mind.
I'd be interested in reading it. Unfortunately, I'm at a loss for a plot idea. I'd need to know more to spark something. But you know I'm always around to brainstorm with. :)
Ah, yes. Too long. I can't believe I'm already angsting about Castle's next episode. It's funny, not so many shows do that to me. I think Buffy did, but I never followed that real time (in France it was aired three eps at a time. It's a bigger fix, it's nice). VM definitely did that. I miss the characters. Like I would real people. I don't wait for anything (when's Ryan going to jump his bff), I'm not angsting about the plot, nope. I'd just like to spend some time with them. ^^ Sadly, 40min a week isn't enough. And I've rewatched the show two times in a row while doing stuff, so I'm kind of stuck with that.

Also, I'm starving.
