I've got what is possibly the biggest nerd boner of my life right now. I just watched Kevin Smith: Burn in Hell on EPIX. I recommend it hard core (though careful, because he spoils the end of Red State). I laughed so hard through most of it my stomach still hurts.
More than that, though, he has this long, run-on bit where he cut a metaphor for creating that just felt so spot-on. Because I may not have ever fallen in love, but the story he told parallels how I feel when I'm writing so perfectly that it left me in fucking tears.
I mean, I'm not going to make any huge life-changing decision because I had a religious experience listening to a celebrity talk about fucking his wife in a Denny's bathroom, but I'm more convinced than ever that changing my major from media arts to film would be the best step for me. I've been chewing over the decision for a while now, and the way I feel right now just reaffirms the direction in which I've been leaning.
So, um, teary and shit. I blame organs. Buh-bye now.
