Wtf: My sudden girl!geek!crush on Lindsey Sterling

I go to an art school that has a high number of its students in Game Design or Animation programs. As you can imagine, this translates to a heavy (self included) concentration of nerds. One of the guys in my English class was playing this chick's music (specifically, the Legend of Zelda medley). Only, because the school wifi is crap, he couldn't get it to load past the beginning, and I had it stuck in my head all day.

Yesterday, I was looking for some good instrumental music to drown out livingroom noises (so I could focus on fic, I swear). I love Apocalyptica, but I've listened to my album so many times as "white noise" it's begun to get tedious, and I hate doing that to good music. Remembering that ordeal, I decided to look the musician up.

I'll say right away, I have always loved the violin. When I was a kid I wanted to play one so much. It's just got such a distinctive, clean sound, and it's always struck me as incredibly sensual. The way it's played, it almost looks like you're dancing with it... Lindsey Sterling literally does dance with it a lot of the time, and she does so beautifully.

ETA: Okay, are embedded videos not working for anyone else, or is that just me? Because they seem to display correctly, but when I click play they just go black...

The last one hardcore makes me want to write that SkyrimxCastle fusion I've had in mind pretty much since I first popped in the game. Other things first, though.

*sigh*
