So there was a new update to OpenOffice.org that I installed this morning. An update which, frustratingly, seemed to disable the thesaurus (right click, words appear, right click, add word to dictionary, it was nice, *sigh*). So, I went online looking for a way to fix it. I found a method which was supposed to work...only it didn't. Then I tried uninstalling the new version and reinstalling the old, only to find that the method that was originally supposed to fix the thesaurus somehow deleted the spellchecker. And...also, I can't install any extensions without having it crash now, which, you know. Capital.

Anyway, it didn't seem to matter how many times I uninstalled, reinstalled, or what version I used, every word but the ones defined in my user dictionaries would be marked as incorrectly spelled. ("Esposito"? Spelled correctly apparently. "Cat"? Not so much.)

I finally got frustrated and said fuck it. As of 12:12 tonight, I'm using LibreOffice. We'll see how that goes. It seems mostly the same, so far, which makes sense because it's based on the same code. So it should be a pretty easy learning curve. I just hope I don't have any bugs or glitches popping up to eat fic, because that would suck...

It's hot, and I'm cranky, because people, and people being unreliable. I don't want to go into it. I'm very blah right now.
