It probably says way, way too much about me that the only female character on television that I've ever identified with is Amy Farrah Fowler. But I'm totally that person who gives random TMI, and will talk about the weirdest shit in every day conversation. Around my house that's actually fairly normal, bu tout in public I have a hard time remembering that most people don't tell people they go to school or work with/talk with randomly on the train/at the bus stop/their parents/their sisters' boyfriend or husband/parents friends about their online life writing porn about gay zombies or superpowered Nazis or whatnot. I use this one a lot when I'm posting weird personal stuff that probably no one cares about.
Also, the phrase popped into my head in regards to Amy, and I just had to make the icon.

I am such a ridiculous fan of Heroes, so I really should get a better icon for it. Or more of them. The difficulty is that I can't really go for a single character, because there are so many that are just great, and I can't pick ship because Sylar is like black. He goes well with everything. So I picked one that was nice and all purpose for commenting and for the few non-Zeitgeist Heroes stories I've written. One of these days I'm going to spring for more icon space, though, and I'm totally getting one of HRG at the very least.
Because Noah is the goddamned Batman.

If you've seen either show, it's probably self explainitory. If you haven't, well...pineapple is a running gag in both. It's Shawn "Spen-starr" Spencer's favorite flavor, and is one of Danny "Danno" Williams' least (as characterized in his frequently quoted rants about Hawaii being a "pineapple infested hell-hole", and I totally agree, does not belong on pizza) . So, as is the way of all things fandom, these traits get exaggerated in fic, to the point where I have an honest to god Pavlovian response to the spiney yellow fruit. Pineapple=slash. It's a thing that just is.
Also, it's the first animated icon I ever made, and I was really proud of it.

About when I started getting all the omgcrazywtfflapdoodle ideas for Castle fic, I began writing it all down in a composition book just to keep me sane. For the most part it's really just ideas, i.e. "werewolf in an elevator" or "Javier=sexyangstyzombie. OMG make it happen!" or "What if Kevin was a mouse? lolwhut?" And I'd just keep the notebook with me while watching the show with my grandmother (because hot cocoa and Castle was our thing until I started going back to school and couldn't stay up past 10, and also the boys were paired off with horribly characterized het love interests that made me want to cry).
But anyway, one night as I was watching I wound up doodling this little sketch of the boys having crazy intense eye contact in the margins of the page. And I talked about it on that night's slash discussion on

castle_slash, and

roachstar made me scan it and share with the class, and I somehow wound up coloring the thing and suddenly it was an icon...

This one was made by

roachstar ages and ages ago. It was my first icon on LJ, back when I made the account solely for fanfic, and at the time said fanfic was solely of the Roach variety. It's still my all-purpose Roach icon, as opposed to all the weird specific ones I've made for series.
