This chapter seems to be a lot easier to write so far. Possibly because the case!fic part is fully in swing, and partly because Dorian's internal monolog is pretty fun to write. On the whole, I feel a lot of writers make his thought processes too organic. He was made to feel, but he is still a machine designed for a purpose, and I feel they lose a lot of what makes him special by making him too human. And I've always been a sucker for non-human perception, so this is another opportunity to run with that in a way I haven't done before... :)

(Still, absolutely going to have to step up my words per day if I want to make 10k by the deadline...let alone actually finish the fic, which would probably have to be longer.)
